Overview:

Part of a series on policies associated with industry convergence, Square Pegs and Round Holes, shows in a simple set of charts that new technologies are evolving and blurring traditional boundaries among industries.  These industries (publishing, telecommunications, broadcast, and computer) resulted from distinct technologies and their regulatory patterns differ.  This paper indicates examples of 1993 convergence among industries and mismatches in government policies.
